Aerial Dance

Aerial Dance

50m altitude

Aerial dance at the Verbier Air Show brings an artistic and poetic dimension to the programme. Suspended from structures or helicopter lines roughly 50 metres above the ground, aerial dancers perform choreographies that blend acrobatics, contemporary dance and circus arts. The contrast between the grace of the movement and the altitude at which it takes place creates a striking spectacle.

The aerial dance performers are elite athletes, trained in contemporary circus disciplines and aerial acrobatics. They use silks, hoops or straps to create fluid and spectacular figures in the air. Each performance is choreographed to a soundtrack broadcast throughout the Medran zone, creating an immersive experience for the audience.

Aerial dance is the most accessible discipline at the Verbier Air Show: performances take place at low altitude, directly above the entertainment area at Medran, and can be watched at close range. It is a moment particularly enjoyed by families and children, who can observe every movement in detail.

Aerial dance shows are scheduled for Saturday 11 April and Sunday 12 April, with multiple performances throughout each day between 11 AM and 5 PM. The shows take place in the Medran entertainment zone and are not subject to the same weather constraints as the high-altitude disciplines.
